What does ready.steady.study! offer you and your child?

ready.steady.study! offers you and your child the opportunity to academic freedom. The child gets to know himself as well as the way his brain functions. Based on this, he learns a series of study methods and memorizing techniques under the watchful eye of the facilitator.

ready.steady.study! offers various courses:

1. COURSE FOR PARENT AND CHILD:

The following aspects are dealt with in the course:

1. Each child’s unique brain dominance.
2. Discovery of the child’s preferred modality,
   i.e. which sense-organ functions the strongest?
3. Discovery of the child’s intelligences and the influence thereof on learning.
4. Discovery of the workings of neurons.
5. The world of memory and skills to improve it.
6. The practice of study, strategies and methods for the rest of the child’s study career.
7. Discovery of the value of time management, planning, goal setting and concrete evaluation.
8. Various study methods that will suit the child’s brain profile.
9. Discovery and practicing of different study memorizing methods.
10. Discovery of the influence of emotions and self image on study.

The above course is divided into sections and taken up in sessions. Sessions can be bought in single units, but it is the authors’ exclusive philosophy that parent / guardian / au pair / caretaker should rather undergo the complete training with the child. 2. COURSE FOR TEACHERS:

The current SA schools context shows a great need for re-training, and in some cases, first hand training of teachers. ready.steady.study! has at its disposal a team of knowledgeable, but also enthusiastic personnel who are daily exposed to the trials of education.

It is their endeavour to train the teachers’ body of SA in the use of a series of creative methods which increases the assimilation of the lesson content because more intelligences are addressed. This course, should it be presented at your school, is very practical and integrates the study methodology as well as creative aspects in a usable course for gr. 4- gr. 7 personnel.
